2. African Sourcing And Fashion Week (ASFW)

Ethiopian Textile and Garment Manufacturers Association (ETGAMA) hosts the Africa Sourcing and Fashion Week (ASFW) which is organized annually in the beginning of Nov at the Millennium hall, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The event is organized in partnership with Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ethiopian Textile Industry Development Institute and Messe Frankfurt. The ASFW is the largest African textile event where manufacturers from textile, apparel, machinery and accessory manufacturers and suppliers join together to raise awareness of Africa both as an investment and as a sourcing destination. The event highlights the creativity and innovation of the African cotton, textile and clothing industries, with a specific focus on business, trade and investment both regionally and internationally while capturing the spirit, style and innovation of modern Africa.

3. National Quality Infrastructure Development Project /NQIDP/

Ethiopian Textile and Garment Manufacturers Association /ETGAMA/ in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry /MoTI/ and through the financial support of the National Quality Infrastructure Development Project /NQIP/ of the World Bank is currently implementing sustainability and quality certification support for selected ETGAMA members

4. ETGAMA/GIZ Direct Company Support (DCS)

ETGAMA with support from GIZ Sustainable Textile Program successfully implemented Direct Company Support (DCS) Fund which supported 13 ETGAMA members to enhance their capacity to implement international social and environmental standards and improve sustainability in the textile and garment sector The project beneficiary companies are now certified in different social, environmental and quality standard certifications such as WRAP, BSCI, Oekotex and ISO Quality Management System certification etc.

5. ETGAMA 3 Years Strategic Plan Development (Jan 2021 To Dec 2023 )

ETGAMA with financial support from ILO is currently embarking on developing its three years strategic plan in close consultation with its stakeholders. To that end, it has contracted ICOS Consulting PLC to the preparation of its strategic plan. A team of consultants from ICOS Consulting is now gathering relevant data from member organizations and other various stakeholders.
